The National Examination Council (NECO) announced on Saturday that it has approved more foreign schools to expand its global reach.
According to NECO’s acting Director of Public Relations, Azeez Sanni, the new schools are in Niger Republic and Equatorial Guinea.
NECO’s accreditation team visited these schools to check if they were ready to conduct the Senior School Certificate Examination (SSCE) and Basic Education Certificate Examination (BECE).
The team inspected classrooms, libraries, laboratories, workshops, examination halls, computer rooms, and sports facilities to ensure they meet NECO’s standards.
After a detailed evaluation, the schools were fully accredited to conduct SSCE and BECE exams.
Currently, NECO exams are taken in several countries, including Benin Republic, Togo, Côte d’Ivoire, Niger Republic, Equatorial Guinea, and Saudi Arabia.
