The Nigeria Customs Service (NCS) recruitment exercise for 2024/2025 is ongoing. Applications are being accepted from December 27, 2024 to January 2, 2025. The application portal is available at https://recruitment.customs.gov.ng.
To be eligible for the NCS recruitment, applicants must meet the following criteria:
- Be Nigerian by birth
- Have completed primary six education and obtained a First School Leaving Certificate
- Be at least 1.7 meters tall for males and 1.64 meters tall for females
- Be medically fit and not physically or mentally challenged
- Not have been convicted of any criminal offense
- Not be a member of any secret society, cult, or drug addict
- Present a certificate of state/ LGA of origin
The NCS is an agency of the Federal Republic of Nigeria that collects customs revenue and facilitates trade. The Comptroller-General of Customs is Bashir Adewale Adeniyi.
With the commencement of 2024/2025 NCS recruitment exercise, applications are invited from qualified candidates for the various vacant positions in the Superintendent, Inspector, and Customs Assistant Cadres.
CATEGORY A: CUSTOMS SUPERINTENDENT CADRE
(GENRAL DUTY AND SUPPORT STAFF/PROFESSIONALS) – CONSOLE 08
Applicant must possess a Bachelor’s Degree, HND, or equivalent from a well-recognised university or polytechnic and NYSC Discharge or Exemption Certificate.
CATEGORY B: CUSTOMS INSPECTOR CADRE
(GENERAL DUTY AND SUPPORT STAFF/ PROFESSIONALS) – CONSOLE 06
Applicant must possess OND, NCE, or its equivalent obtained from a recognized Polytechnics or other institutions:
CATEGORY C: CUSTOMS ASSISTANT (GENERAL DUTY AND SUPPORT STAFF/ PROFESSIONALS) – CONSOLE 03, 04
Applicants must possess Secondary School Certificate with five (5) credits including English and Mathematics, Trade Test Certificate, or Federal Ministry of Labour and Productivity approved proficiency certificates (where applicable)
METHOD OF APPLICATION
- All applications must be submitted online. Suitably qualified candidates should log on to the Nigeria Customs Service Recruitment Portal (https://recruitment.customs.gov.ng) to fill and submit their application.
- Applicants must ensure they possess the required qualifications for the position being applied for.
- Multiple applications by one applicant will lead to disqualification.
- Shortlisted candidates will be invited for further screening.
- Applicants must ensure that they provide active email address and phone number, and shall make sure that their phone numbers are reachable and not on Do Not Disturb mode (DND) for this will prevent them from receiving an invitation message.
GENERAL CONDITIONS
- Applicants must be Nigerian by birth.

- Medical fitness is required, and applicants must not be physically or mentally challenged.

7. Applicants must present a certificate of state/LGA of origin.
NOTICE: Candidates are strictly prohibited from submitting false documents. Falsification of any document will result in immediate disqualification and may lead to prosecution.
